ABOUT US
Resource Mapping Project
Local Workforce Investment Boards (WIB) bring together representatives from business,
labor, community-based organizations, education, higher education, human services,
economic development, government and other critical groups to plan and deliver workforce development services
within designated local areas. The University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension Division/4-H Youth
Development entered into an agreement with the Greater
Nebraska Workforce Investment Board (GNWIB) Youth Council to develop and complete a Resource Mapping Project which would
provide information on current employment and training services for
youth in Nebraska's rural 88 counties. Resource mapping was also completed for Greater Lincoln and Tri-County Local Areas. The purpose of this project
was to help identify service gaps and recommend strategies to address
the identified needs and gaps.
